The Ramona Fire Department is a cooperative agreement between the California Department of Forestry ( CAL-FIRE) and the Ramona Municipal Water District. Covering over 74 square miles, the largest unincorporated area in San Diego County, the Fire Department provides fire suppression , emergency medical, rescue services, and fire prevention/education for an estimated 40,000 residents.
